Spill Festival – Events across Ipswich.

SPILL Festival is back – and Ipswich is about to get creative again Get ready, Ipswich! From 23–26 October, the town will be buzzing with colour, creativity and a whole lot of fun as SPILL Festival returns. It’s one of the UK’s most exciting international festivals of live art, and it’s happening right here in Suffolk’s County Town (and let’s be honest, its Cultural Capital too). Whether you’re into bold performances, complex and thoughtful installations, talks and walks, or just fancy exploring something new, SPILL offers something for everyone and for people of all ages.

SPILL is an arts organisation and registered charity based in Ipswich, a town in the East of England. We create events for the people of Ipswich, East Anglia, and further afield, and work with artists to develop their practice.

Gainsborough Community Library — Home Education Group at Gainsborough

On Monday 7th January 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, the Gainsborough Community Library hosts their weekly Home Education Group at Gainsborough. This event is suitable for youngsters and older kids, providing a supportive space for home-educated children and their families. Note that this group operates during term time only, so plan accordingly.

Emmaus Suffolk -The Royal Oak — Kids & Carers Club

Families with babies and toddlers can enjoy the weekly Kids & Carers Club every Thursday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Emmaus Suffolk -The Royal Oak. It’s a welcoming space where carers and little ones can socialise and partake in fun activities.

Ipswich Sports Club — From Awareness To Action: Support employees affected by domestic violence

On Tuesday 22nd October 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, the From Awareness To Action: Support employees affected by domestic violence session takes place at Ipswich Sports Club. This important event, costing £16.96, offers guidance and support for employers and colleagues aiming to assist those impacted by domestic violence in the workplace.

Inspire — Taoist Tai Chi continuing sessions

For teens and adults interested in gentle exercise and mindfulness, the Taoist Tai Chi continuing sessions occur every Wednesday from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Inspire. The sessions operate weekly and rely on contributions; registration is required via their website.

BME Suffolk Support Group (BSSG) — BSSG Drop-in, Community Cafe and Library

The BSSG Drop-in, Community Cafe and Library is a weekly event every Monday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the BME Suffolk Support Group venue. This community-focused initiative aims to provide practical support, advice, and a welcoming environment to Black and Minority Ethnic families and individuals in Ipswich and West Suffolk.

All Star Rock School — Juniors

The All Star Rock School – Juniors runs weekly on Sunday evenings from 4:45 pm to 6:30 pm. It’s tailored for young musicians from young to older kids, offering free taster sessions before joining. Fees are payable upon enrolment, making it a fantastic chance for kids to discover music and performance skills in a supportive setting.

Ipswich County Library — RummiKlub

The RummiKlub meets weekly every Thursday from 2:15 pm to 3:45 pm at Ipswich County Library. This event is perfect for adults who enjoy social card and tile games in a friendly library environment.
