Information - Gen S28: Press Up / Fold In
Experience Alice Gale-Feeny’s part-lecture, part-homage, part-musical protest on Section 28.
Using both research and improvisation, Gen S28: Press Up/Fold In looks at the implications of living under Section 28, the information left out of sex education classes, and the artworks created under the laws enacted around the time of Alice’s birth in 1989.
Stories from different time periods unravel and are woven back together through chants, shadow play, and even embroidered slogans sewn onto T-shirts.
SPILL Artistic Director, Robin Deacon, will host an artist Q&A with Alice after her performance.
