Information - An Audience with Lucy Worsley

An Audience with Lucy Worsley

Step into a glittering royal world with Lucy Worsley, beloved historian and bestselling author, who spent twenty years working as Chief Curator in some of Britain’s most marvellous palaces.

Lucy wants to take you behind the scenes and into the history of the royal residences she came to know so well, from Hampton Court’s Haunted Gallery to the gilded apartments of Kensington Palace. Along the way, you’ll meet some of Britain’s best-known queens and kings, and discover what Lucy really thinks of them.

With her trademark warmth and scholarly sparkle, this evening will lift the lid on royal life over the centuries, introducing you to its pageantry and – sometimes – its pain. Prepare to be entertained, enlightened, and thoroughly charmed as Lucy reveals the secrets, stories, and splendours of Britain’s royal past.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
