Spooktastic Half Term Fun Arrives Across Ipswich

Posted on October 14, 2026 by Samantha Sherman

Looking for ways to keep the kids active this October half term? Ipswich Fit has unveiled a packed programme of family-friendly activities taking place between Monday 26 and Friday 30 October 2026, with everything from football sessions and roller skating to bouncy play and swimming activities.

Whether your little ones love running, jumping, splashing or skating, there are plenty of opportunities to burn off some energy during the school break. Activities will be taking place across Gainsborough Sports Centre, Whitton Sports Centre and Crown Pools, giving families plenty of choice throughout the week.

Among the highlights are Junior Football, Family Roller Skating and the ever-popular Bouncy Play sessions, all designed to get children moving while having fun with friends and family.

For young swimmers looking to build confidence and develop their skills, Ipswich Fit is also running its popular Swim Camp. Priced at £15, the camp offers a safe and structured environment during the holidays. Children attending must be aged over eight, able to swim 25 metres unaided and be confident in deep water. Participants should also bring a packed lunch.

Families planning ahead should note that activities can be booked seven days in advance from Monday 19 October, while Swim Camp bookings are already open.

For those who expect to take part in multiple activities throughout the year, the iCard Young Person Membership is available from £20 per month, providing access to the half-term activities programme, although Swim Camp is excluded.

With colder weather on the way and Halloween just around the corner, this year’s programme offers a great excuse to swap screens for sports, make new friends and enjoy some healthy holiday fun.
