New Tourist Guides for Ipswich

Posted on July 8, 2025 by Margaret Hancock

Three new Guides were presented with coveted Wolsey red Ipswich Tourist Guide badges at  a recent Town Hall ceremony hosted by Ipswich Mayor, Cllr Stefan Long.   They have now joined existing  Guides to welcome visitors and provide regular guided walks showcasing Ipswich’s long, fascinating history and industrial heritage.

Terri Caylor,  Sue Raychaudri and James Vanier expressed their delight and pride at qualifying as Ipswich Guides after spending the winter months in a rigorous programme of study, training, practise and testing organised by Ipswich Tourist Guides Association (ITGA) in conjunction with Ipswich Institute. They all look forward to sharing their enthusiasm with visitors and locals alike.
