Information - Autumn Business Leaders Lunch 2025

The Suffolk Business Leaders Lunch is a gathering of likeminded business leaders, entrepreneurs, and directors from across Suffolk, who are passionate about business, connectivity, and community. The aim of the lunches is to offer a place where knowledge, insights and networking provide a catalyst for action, and a safe ‘Chatham House Rules’ style of engagement exists.

They strive to share the voice of a local cause or charity and offer an after-lunch speaker to present their insights on thought leadership.

Join us at the September lunch for an inspiring event featuring Joel Beckett, renowned actor, director, and voice-over artist with over 25 years of experience. Best known for his roles as Jake Moon in EastEnders and Lee in The Office, Joel will share his expertise in performance and public speaking.

As a coach, he tailors his strategies for executives and professionals, focusing on confidence, effective communication, and audience engagement. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from a true professional and elevate your public speaking skills!

Life is a stage and you only get one performance. Make it a good one.“- Joel Beckett

Great communication goes beyond words; it’s about connecting, engaging, and inspiring. Joel’s team of specialists has spent over 10 years helping people master confident, impactful communication through high-energy, hands-on workshops. From body language and storytelling to team dynamics and presence, they offer practical tools that make a real difference.

We’ll also be joined by the Business Development Manager of Suffolk Family Carers. Caroline Rapley-Gibson, an unpaid family carer herself, has delivered essential support needed to family carers across our county. These services build knowledge and resilience to empower family carers in what is often a very challenging role.

For over 36 years Suffolk Family Carers has worked to ensure unpaid family carers of all ages across Suffolk are visible, valued, supported and connected. Providing information, advice and support to thousands of family carers each year to help them live fuller lives.

Caroline is now working with businesses to help identify family carers in the workplace and embed policies to create a safe and trusted environment that align with the new Caring Companies Award Programme in partnership with Suffolk County Council.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
