Meet the Lineup

Lava Pigeon

Hailing from Bury St Edmunds, Lava Pigeon are an exciting indie rock quartet featuring Ottalie, Indy, Grace, and Jess. Since making their debut in 2024, they’ve been turning heads with their vibrant, colourful aesthetic and sharp, punk-infused lyrics. They are a formidable live act who are absolutely ready to take on the world—don’t miss the chance to see them in such an intimate setting!

The Frestonians

We love supporting local Ipswich talent, and The Frestonians are a brilliant home-grown indie duo! Fusing raw punk energy with melodic new wave, they draw inspiration from legendary acts like The Cure and PJ Harvey. With award-nominated songwriting and an electrifying stage presence, they have become a high-energy staple of our local music scene.

Monkey Foot Down

Coming over from Colchester, Monkey Foot Down are a guitar-and-drum duo featuring Gus and Deborah. Don’t let the two-piece setup fool you—you can expect a raw, heavy wall of sound that spans punk, rock, and grunge. They are guaranteed to get the room moving!

Cryptid Hive

Another fantastic Ipswich band, Cryptid Hive are an emerging indie rock group who have been actively building a passionate local following since their debut in 2025. They’ve just released their brilliant new EP, Crash, so expect to hear some fresh, exciting new tracks during their set.

Accessibility & Venue Info

The Smokehouse is committed to being an inclusive and welcoming space for everyone. There is step-free access into the venue, and the bar, performance space, and accessible toilet are all located on one floor.
