If you’re aged 16 to 19 and feeling unsure about your next steps after GCSEs, you’re not alone. Maybe you’ve started sixth form and realised it’s not the right fit. Or maybe you haven’t signed up for anything yet and are worried you’ve missed your chance.
You haven’t.

A Fresh Start Is Waiting
Suffolk New College is holding a Restart Event on Monday 15 September at our Ipswich campus. It’s a chance to explore your options, speak to staff, and even enrol on the night.
What to Expect
This is a relaxed drop-in event where you can:
- Talk to tutors and support staff about your interests and goals
- Find out which courses still have places available
- Bring your results and ID and enrol if you find something that suits you
- There’s no need to book. Just turn up and we’ll help you figure out your next step.
Who Should Come?
- Students who started sixth form but feel it’s not the right path
- Anyone who finished GCSEs but hasn’t signed up for college, training or work
- Anyone who wants to do something different and doesn’t want to waste the year
