Calling All Young Treasure Hunters: Join Eastern Angles’ Treasure Map Competition!
This Christmas, Ipswich’s very own Eastern Angles Theatre Company invites young creatives up to the age of 14 to embark on an imaginative adventure with their Treasure Map Competition. Inspired by their upcoming festive show, Treasure Island, this fun competition offers a chance to win some truly pirate-worthy prizes, including free tickets to see the show either at The Studio @ Eastern Angles in Ipswich or the Seckford Theatre in Woodbridge.
What to Do
Children are encouraged to create their own treasure map inspired by a place they love. It could be as close as their own home, a beloved local spot like Christchurch Park or Chantry Park, or even a favourite holiday destination. Whether it’s a secret stash hidden under the park swings, treasure buried at the Market Square, or the real magic found in an afternoon at the local library, all creative ideas are welcomed to come to life in map form!
Expert Judges
The amazing judging panel includes Ipswich-based illustrator Lily Hammond of UWU Studio, Wayne Savage from the Suffolk Archives, and Jane Hamilton and Sarah Peel from the Dunwich Museum. This diverse group brings together artistic flair, historical expertise, and community knowledge to select the winner.
How to Enter
Submissions are open now and close on Thursday, 20th November. For full details on how to enter, families can visit the Eastern Angles website at easternangles.co.uk or call their Box Office on 01473 211498 for assistance. This is a fantastic opportunity for children to explore creativity and local heritage while having fun.
