Special Halloween Screening at King Street Cinema: Extended Cut of ‘Halloween’

Ipswich’s horror fans are in for a treat this Halloween! On Friday 31 October, King Street Cinema will be hosting a rare screening of an extended version of John Carpenter’s cult classic, Halloween. This unique cut includes approximately 14 minutes of unseen footage originally re-edited for a longer TV broadcast, making it a must-see for classic horror enthusiasts.The event kicks off at 6pm with festivities at the cinema’s on-site bar, where attendees can enjoy a Halloween-inspired cocktail and live music from local singer-songwriter Phil Jackson. The screening of the film begins at 7:30pm. Fancy dress is encouraged, so why not embrace the spooky season fully?Dan Champion, the Managing Director of King Street Cinema, shared: “This version of Halloween is very rarely shown on the big screen and includes new scenes that fans likely haven’t seen before – a truly unique experience for our community’s horror fans.”This special Halloween screening is sponsored by local brewers Humber Doucy Brewing Company, a father and son team passionate about combining Suffolk’s rich heritage with craft beer. The event ties into King Street Cinema’s ’50 Years in the Making’ initiative, celebrating five decades of independent cinema right here in Ipswich.
