Information - Pinhole Camera Workshop

We have Mike Klencher back with this exciting pinhole photograph workshop. You will learn how to repurpose common drinks cans into hand held camera obscuras. The unique quality of the captured images offers a new look on our everyday surroundings.

Each participant will build 3 cameras to take multiple photographs in the local neighbourhood.

The images will then be developed and processed at the workshops using Mike’s mobile darkroom box.

In the final step, you will explore a free smartphone app to digitise the paper photographs.

All materials to build the cameras and to process the images are included, just bring your smartphone and a note book. You will receive a complete material list and instructions from Mike.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
