Fisherman’s Friends Live at the Regent Theatre

Get ready, Ipswich! The beloved Fisherman’s Friends are back and bringing their unforgettable sea shanties to town as part of their exciting new UK tour for 2025 and 2026. Celebrating over 30 years of making music together, this iconic group, known for their passionate performances across the globe, will be performing at the beautiful Regent Theatre on Friday 27 March 2026.

About the Band

The Fisherman’s Friends are not just musicians – they’re a tight-knit crew made up of lobster fishermen, shopkeepers, engineers, builders, filmmakers, electricians, and incredible musicians. Members include Jeremy Brown, Jon Cleave, John ‘Lefty’ Lethbridge, John McDonnell, Jason Nicholas, Toby Lobb, Simon Biddick, Marcus Bonfanti, and Simon Johnson. Originally coming together to learn a few sea shanties in a living room, they’ve stayed true to their roots and the sea-faring spirit that inspired their music.

What to Expect

Having sold out every venue on their last tour, including the prestigious Royal Albert Hall, the Fisherman’s Friends will be performing a wonderful mix of old favourites and brand new songs. Their powerful harmonies and heartfelt sea shanties create a one-of-a-kind live experience that’s both uplifting and moving.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
