The Arts Society South East Suffolk (TASSES) is a local society but affiliated to a national organisation.
The Arts Society brings people together through a shared curiosity for the arts. Our events provide welcoming places – locally, nationally and globally – to hear expert lecturers share their specialist knowledge about the arts. Our 60,000+ members contribute to and preserve our artistic heritage through volunteering and grants. The belief that the arts have the potential to enrich peoples’ lives is at the heart of everything we do. We inspire, we do, we give.
We meet at Kesgrave War Memorial Community Centre on the first Tuesday of the month except for January, June and August, where we have amazing lectures on various aspects of the arts given by well regarded and experienced speakers frequently with a connection to some of our national and world renown galleries. Along side this, we offer trips and whole days devoted to a particular topic. Not only do we offer a high standard of lectures we are a friendly and welcoming society.
We are a member based society but welcome visitors to try for free ( a donation is appreciated) as long as we know in advance. Please go to our website for details of our lectures and more information. If you would like to become a member, our annual subscription fee for 2024/25 (March to April) programme season will be £45.00 per person.
