Innovate Suffolk has announced a fresh relaunch, shining a spotlight on the talent, creativity, and ideas already thriving across the county.
The focus of Innovate Suffolk is on supporting home-grown innovation not just in technology, but in all areas of local life. From improving services and transport to developing smarter solutions for small businesses, the organisation believes Suffolk already holds the answers to many of its own challenges. By connecting change-makers, sharing experiences, and breaking down barriers, Innovate Suffolk aims to create a supportive environment where ideas can flourish.
The concept of the “Suffolk Pound” also sits at the heart of this approach: encouraging people to live, spend, and build locally to strengthen jobs, communities, and opportunities across the county.
Hackathon Launch Event
As part of its relaunch, Innovate Suffolk will host a major Greentech Hackathon at Suffolk One in Ipswich from 7–9 November 2025. The event is open to all, individuals, teams, or anyone curious about innovation and will offer the chance to share ideas, join projects, and learn from others.
A highlight of the weekend will be a keynote address from our own James Kindred of Ipswich.love, who has built a successful platform that champions the town. His journey demonstrates the potential for home-grown success stories and is expected to inspire the next generation of Suffolk entrepreneurs.
For parents of aspiring innovators, the event is also a unique opportunity for young people to see what’s possible in technology, business, and entrepreneurship without having to look outside the region.
