Ipswich Wanderers was formed under a different name in 1980. The Club started as an under 14’s boys’ team in 1980, and two years later they entered the lowest division of the Ipswich Sunday League before joining the newly formed Eastern Counties Division One as founder members in 1987.
Home games were played at the present ground at Humber Doucy Lane, under the name of Loadwell Ipswich. The Club later changed its name to Lancaster Ipswich FC before eventually becoming Ipswich Wanderers.
The Club’s fortunes have changed, as with most clubs over the years, but coming right up to the present day, the Club is on a high, having become the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division Champions in 2022-23! Several changes have been made to the team line up ready for the new season. Check the latest news here: News – Ipswich Wanderers FC | Ipswich Wanderers FC
