Have your say at Area Committee Meetings

Posted on February 6, 2025 by Sam Sherman

Did you know that Ipswich Borough is split into five different areas, and then again into wards?

There are three councillors per ward.

Each Area regularly holds what is called an Area Committee Meeting – members of the public can attend, share concerns and raise questions.  It’s a great opportunity to understand what goes on in your hyper-local area, to meet the councillors and speak up.

If you have a smartphone and download the Mod.Gov app, you can download all the meeting papers in advance of the meeting. If you get your questions in a couple of days before each meeting, councillors will be able to answer your questions at the meeting.

The Area Committee meetings coming up are listed on our site here:

South East Area Committee meeting

South West Area Committee meeting

Central Area Committee meeting

North East Area Committee meeting

North West Area Committee meeting
