The shop has recently undergone building work offering a more open-plan environment to cater for the growing number of customers entering the door. The upstairs space, which is used for events, has been restyled too with their signature Fred. Olsen blue paint and branded signage. Clare adds “I absolutely love hosting and presenting on behalf of our tour operators and it’s great to share our experiences as travel agents. It’s incredibly rewarding to inspire others to visit destinations that I have enjoyed so much myself.” During these free events, attendees can enjoy prosecco and nibbles while listening to an informative presentation, ask questions, request quotes and make bookings.

Clare’s 15 years’ travel industry career started on board cruise ships whilst studying her Business and Tourism Management degree. Following this, she quickly realised she wanted to pursue a career in travel and worked onboard Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’s ships as Future Cruise Sales Manager selling cruises to guests onboard. After a few years at sea, Clare worked shoreside at the cruise line’s head office in Ipswich before moving on to the yield department assisting with upgrading and pricing. Clare also worked for Ama Waterways at Fred. Olsen Travel to gain experience of river cruising.
