Information - Wet Wet Wet

Love is all around in Ipswich! We are absolutely thrilled to share that the legendary Wet Wet Wet will be taking to the stage at our very own Regent Theatre as part of their massive UK-wide tour.

Whether you were there the first time around or you’ve discovered their music more recently, this is going to be a night to remember. The band is hitting the road to celebrate a huge milestone: the 40th anniversary of their iconic debut album, Popped In Souled Out. This was the record that catapulted them to superstardom and cemented their place as one of Britain’s most successful pop acts.

Celebrating Four Decades of Hits

This special anniversary show isn’t just a trip down memory lane; it’s a full-throttle celebration of a remarkable career. You can expect to hear all the tracks from Popped In Souled Out, alongside a huge catalogue of beloved hits that have soundtracked our lives over the last forty years. From soulful ballads to upbeat pop classics, the band will be showcasing both where it all began and the incredible journey they’ve been on since.

The current line-up features founding member Graeme Clark and long-standing guitarist Graeme Duffin, joined by the fantastic lead vocalist Kevin Simm. Together, they bring a fresh energy to these timeless songs, ensuring they sound just as magic today as they did in the eighties.

A Special Message from the Band

Reflecting on the tour, founding member Graeme Clark shared his excitement about returning to these songs:

“When we made Popped In Souled Out, I was just a young guy. Forty years later, those songs have taken on a life of their own, and this tour is about celebrating where it all began without forgetting what followed. It’ll feel like stepping back into those original PISO shoes – only now with a lifetime of experience and with an audience who’ve been with us through every twist and turn.”

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
