Information - RSPCA All About Animals event

RSPCA Suffolk Central branch are thrilled to be ‘taking over’ the Cornhill in Ipswich on Thursday 21 August 2025, 10am-4pm with our ‘All About Animals’ event!

We’ve got great family-friendly things to do, including:

  • Fun games to educate about dog behaviour, enrichment and the best snacks to feed your dog!
  • Talks from an Animal Centre Assistant on how to care for your pets
  • Meet an RSPCA Welfare Officer and find out more about their role, the equipment they use and their day to day life helping animals
  • Kids activities including colouring-in and painting your own garden sign
  • A reading tent run by Suffolk Community Libraries with animal stories and books about pet care
  • Fantastic pet products to buy
  • A gallery of animals needing new homes
  • We’ll also have a donation station on site for you to drop off any unwanted products for our charity shops or pet products for the animals in our care!

There will also be lots of information about the services we offer across Suffolk, and our team will be on hand to chat about what volunteering for us is like and details of our upcoming events programme!

NB: There will be no animals at this event!

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
