Part of the Brighten the Corners Talks

Simon Williams spent a decade at the NME newspaper, helped launch XFM radio and as founder of Fierce Panda records and Club Fandango promotions he has spent the past 30 years chewing away at the margins of the music industry, releasing debut records and putting on early gigs by Coldplay, Placebo, Keane, Idlewild, the Maccabees, Ash, Embrace and a million more hapless hopefuls. Join Simon in conversation with Paul Sheehan (Producer, BBC 6 Music) as he reflects on thirty years of triumph and near-disaster at the indie coalface.
