Information - Blank Page – Gory Stories special effects makeup workshop with Lorna-Jane Garside

Learn how to create your own cuts, bruises and gory special effects makeup looks with arts practitioner Lorna-Jane Garside for this free creative workshop for 10-16 year olds at Gainsborough Community Library, as part of The Blank Page Project!

Workshops take place from 9.45AM to 3.30PM and include a free lunch, drinks and snacks!

We will spend the day working with a range of materials with no set outcome – just to experiment and play! In the morning we will be working with clay followed by activities using henna and marbling inks. In the afternoon, participants can use their marbled papers to create stationary and/or work on canvas with paint to create banners and flags.

PLEASE NOTE: Products used on skin may contain ingredients that some participants could be sensitive to. Latex will be used and so will makeup wipes / makeup remover. Please advise if your child has any latex or skin allergies or sensitivities. Products are mostly washable and water based, but participants will need to wear that they don’t mind getting messy!
