Information - Bleedin’ Stories

Aim: “Bleedin’ Stories: tales, laughter and memories in support of Myeloma UK. Join us on the night – or donate if you can’t.”

An evening of stories and memories by Veronica Chambers

Join us for a special night of storytelling on the final day of Blood Cancer Awareness Month, raising funds for Myeloma UK.

Bleedin’ Stories will be hosted by storyteller Veronica Chambers, who holds a Guinness World Record in storytelling and has been captivating audiences at festivals, theatres, and community events for years.  Known for her warmth, wit, and ability to weave tales that stay with you long after the night ends, Veronica will bring together a collection of stories filled with laughter, memory, and truth.

Some of the stories will be about her husband, Beano, who died in March from myeloma. These are stories of love, life, and loss — honest and heartfelt — alongside tales that bring lightness and humour. Together, it will be an evening that celebrates memory and storytelling while raising money and awareness of myeloma.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
