Get Ready for Ipswich’s First-Ever Christmas Fayre at Town Hall!

This November, Ipswich is set to sparkle and shine as the Town Hall, Corn Exchange, and Cornhill are transformed into a festive haven for the first-ever Ipswich Town Hall Christmas Fayre. Taking place on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 November 2025, this in-house event promises a magical experience designed for all ages.

Organised by Ipswich Entertains and supporting East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), the Christmas Fayre is a joyful weekend bursting with festive cheer, unique handmade gifts, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities. Over 60 stalls will showcase local makers and traders offering festive decorations, seasonal treats, and handcrafted presents.

The event will be officially opened by the Mayor of Ipswich, Councillor Stefan Long, who has selected EACH as one of the charities for his mayoral year. Councillor Jane Riley, Portfolio Holder for Culture and Customers at Ipswich Borough Council, highlights the event’s importance:

“Our first-ever Christmas Fayre in this iconic setting promises joy, entertainment and excitement for all ages. Held just days after the Ipswich Christmas lights switch-on, it marks a sparkling start to the festive season right in the town centre.”

Ali Butler, Senior Community Fundraiser for EACH Suffolk and East Essex, says:

“We are grateful to be part of this special celebration. Visitors will have opportunities to support EACH through donations and craft activities at our stall, helping raise awareness for vital care provided to children and families across East Anglia.”

When & Where

Ipwich Town Hall’s own Lapland awaits children with Santa’s Grotto tickets priced at £9.50, booked separately. It includes a festive photo opportunity walk-through and an enchanting meet-and-greet with Father Christmas and his elves.
