At Ipswich.love, we love local poetry.
We have received another wonderful piece written by Asbi Manoj. Asbi graduated from Greenwich University London. Her first book, entitled “Life@25” was published under ‘mankind literature’ in India. Asbi is actively working with Indian and English literature and lives in Ipswich. Take a look and see if it resonates with you:

Boundless blues…….
When you guide the ball forward,
it becomes the rhythm that steadies our hearts.
Like the infinite sky, your blue knows no horizon—
a vast, unyielding expanse of courage and resolve.
We believe in you without hesitation,
for you have taught us what it means to never falter.
Victory is not a distant dream—
it is a promise we carry together.
And so, a nation rises as one,
hands raised in thunderous applause,
lining the field in silent reverence and roaring pride.
In your eyes burns a quiet fire,
in your every movement, an unshakable determination.
You do not merely play the game—
you elevate it into something timeless.
March on, O blue battalion,
let glory follow in your wake,
let history bend to your brilliance,
and let triumph be your constant companion.
For in your journey, we find our own hope,
in your victories, our shared identity—
and in your spirit, a legacy
that shall endure far beyond the final whistle.
