The Walk’s Vintage & Retro Street Market is back with a Market Trail to the Ancient House
The Walk in Ipswich town centre are holding monthly markets with support from Ipswich Central with the next market being the popular Vintage & Retro Street Market. Threads for All, The Military Unit and Hanks Vegan Restaurant have grouped together to offer monthly markets in the Town Centre to draw footfall and celebrate the independent businesses in Suffolk. This May Market will be winding through the walk, spilling onto the Butter Market street and into The Ancient House.
This time, we are honoured to be able to get use of The Ancient House, also known as Sparrowe’s House, a Grade I listed building dating from the 15th century. The interior is stunning and fits perfectly with the Vintage & retro theme throughout.
We’re excited to be organising a Street Market that is set within a part of the town centre with so many key historic architectural buildings. From the Tudor style Walk, beautiful buildings lining the Butter Market street to the medieval Ancient House, join us and browse through Vintage and Retro finds from all over Suffolk. Unique Fashion, jewellery, curiosities, Art, vintage makers, homewares and Vinyl.
Visit the local independent shops and cafes nestled within the historical Tudor style alleys, explore the many rooms and courtyard within the Ancient House, make a day of it and visit one of the quaint independent Cafes, bars or restaurants along the way.
It’s not just the stalls that offer unique vintage finds as The Military Unit sells an interesting range of Military Surplus and militaria from all over the world and Threads for all offer a great selection of vintage wear, vintage gifts, homewares and accessories.
