Geek Retreat Ipswich

Dear Ipswich, I hope you are well.

I have had the pleasure of working in Ipswich for the past 2 years and absolutely love the community.

What I have seen is there is more good than bad. So many people who really care about our town. There are small business owners who give everything to create a special place for those who look beyond headlines and actually see our town for what it is.

As a Canadian – I love the history – wow, it’s an old town! There are so many incredible buildings and locations when you take the time to look.

Our shop has seen what people in the community mean to each other. How supportive the local charities are of people in our town.

We see all ages from 4 days old to 97, all cultures and backgrounds who all come together to just spend time together.

We have been part of big and small events and all we see in happiness.

I love Ipswich and really hope this helps people see and be proud of what really goes on in our town every day.

I have given my time and dedication to not only change the views of locals but to challenge local government, businesses, and anyone else who would listen to change […]

For the love of Dot Cotton

Ipswich was a town that started as a small-town community, but eventually flourished into the city we know today. It began with a castle that was built in the 1600s but that was later demolished in the 1700s. Wool, Leatherwork, blacksmiths, butchers, and bakers were the important industries that created a flourishing shipbuilding industry in […]

For The Love of Creative Opportunities

During my school years, I thrived in art subjects, effortlessly achieving good grades. Occasionally, I even won creative competitions, with the most memorable being a poster for British Gas. However, due to a lack of guidance, limited support, and the less advanced state of the internet back then, I found myself entering the retail and […]
