Information - The Shires

Get ready, Ipswich! We are absolutely thrilled to share that the UK’s favourite country duo, The Shires, will be taking the stage at our very own Regent Theatre as part of their first full band UK tour in four years.

Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes have been the trailblazers of the British country scene, and they are coming to town to celebrate the release of their joyous new album, Bonfire. Whether you’ve been a fan since day one or you’re just discovering the magic of modern country, this is a night you won’t want to miss.

A Night of Positivity and Escapism

The Shires have built an incredible reputation for their soulful harmonies and heartfelt songwriting. This new tour promises to be a real celebration, featuring a mix of the classic fan favourites we all know and love, alongside brand-new tracks from Bonfire.

The new album is all about togetherness and positivity—something we can all get behind! It’s the perfect excuse to grab your friends, head into the heart of Ipswich, and lose yourself in an evening of fantastic live music.

The Trailblazers of UK Country

It’s hard to overstate the impact Ben and Crissie have had on the music scene. Long before country music reached its current “golden age” of popularity here in the UK, The Shires were leading the way. They’ve maintained their spot at the forefront of the genre, and they couldn’t be happier to be back on the road with a full band to share their new stories with us.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
