Join SoapBox Spoken Word CIC for our last gig of 2024: The Poet’s Party – back at the glorious Spread Eagle (Ipswich town centre).
FYI: 18+ Adult language & content warning. Fxxks will be used liberally used in an artistic context. Please give the poets your attention. No heckling, this ain’t debate club. Supportive vibes & good times. with the best of people, and the weirdest most wonderful words.
  • 19:00 : LAST OPEN MIC of the year. Sign-up on the day only. 5/10 mins per person.

    A lovingly curated poetry playlist from Amy Wragg. Think Scroobius Pip, Kae Tempest, B Dolan, Hollie McNish, Benjamin Zephaniah, Gil Scott Heron Vs Jamie XX (full album will be played, its a masterpiece).
Loadsa words. Extreme amounts of decor.  As many lights and lasers as we can get away with.  HUGE thank you to the amazing Spread Eagle for supporting this event, welcoming us back to their funky pub, and giving us permission to decorate the beejebus outta the place.
