The Best of Tubular Bells I, II & III – A Must-See UK Tour

Get ready to experience the brilliance of Mike Oldfield’s iconic Tubular Bells series with The Best of Tubular Bells I, II & III coming to Ipswich’s Regent Theatre on Sunday, 1 March 2026.

About the Show

This special 26-date UK tour celebrates the pioneering and influential musical masterpieces that have captivated audiences for decades. Led and arranged by Oldfield’s longtime collaborator Robin Smith, the live group will perform the entire original Tubular Bells I album, alongside extended sections from Tubular Bells II and Tubular Bells III. Plus, enjoy worldwide hit single Moonlight Shadow and more.

Why You Can’t Miss It

Mike Oldfield’s Tubular Bells series, spanning three albums from 1973 to 1998, represents a groundbreaking journey in progressive music:

  • Tubular Bells I (1973) — The visionary piece that launched it all.
  • Tubular Bells II (1992) — Notable for its historic premiere filmed at Edinburgh Castle, one of the most streamed musical events ever.
  • Tubular Bells III (1998) — Featuring excerpts like Far Above the Clouds, highlighted at the 2012 London Olympic Opening Ceremony.

Each album expands on themes and theatrical variations first composed by Oldfield at just 17 years of age, continuing to inspire and innovate music lovers across generations.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
