Information - Talk: The Geography of Horror with Simon Loxley
‘A Warning to the Curious’ is a terrifying work of fiction, but James drew heavily on the geography of Aldeburgh to drive his narrative to its shocking conclusion.
From the comfort of your seat, join Simon Loxley, author of A Geography of Horror: the Ghost Stories of M. R. James and the Suffolk Landscape for a ghost tour of this seaside town, where James’ amateur archaeologist finds the fabled third buried crown of East Anglia – then wishes he hadn’t.
Ages 16+
Part of the mini festival day: Warnings to the Curious: A Centenary of Suffolk Ghost Stories

As well as Ghost Stories Family crafts from 10:30-2:30
