Information - Spill 2025 – BROWN BABIES: CINDY’S REVISITED

SPILL Festival is an internationally renowned celebration of arts, culture, and performance in Ipswich.

We are turning the clock back to the mid-80s, recreating the music, fashion and spirit of peak-era Cindy’s nightclub, as curated by Kirsty Tallent.
Featuring funk, soul, hip-hop, and a truly historic £1.50 entry charge, grab your hairspray and get ready to electric slide!

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Kirsty Tallent is an Experiential Theatre Director and Practitioner from the East of England. Stylistically, her work is bold, fresh, messy, and relevant, with a core ethos of engaging minority audiences. Kirsty has worked in many of the East of England’s prominent theatre companies across a varied career beginning within creative learning, practitioner delivery which has progressed and developed into Directing

Kirsty is currently Creative Communities Coordinator (People & Place) for Eastern Angles Theatre Company and has had previous roles as Community Director (Red Rose Chain) and Storyteller in Residence at (Suffolk Libraires).

Brown Babies has been supported by a Developing Your Creative Practice grant from Arts Council England.
