Don’t Miss Seth Lakeman Live at the Corn Exchange!

Folk music lovers, get ready for an unforgettable evening with Seth Lakeman as he celebrates the 20th anniversary of his acclaimed album Freedom Fields! Join us on Friday, 16th October 2026 at the historic Corn Exchange in Ipswich for a night filled with captivating indie-folk tunes and storytelling.

About Seth Lakeman

Seth Lakeman first burst into the music scene in 2005 when he was nominated for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize for his album Kitty Jay. He followed this success with Freedom Fields, a gold-selling album featuring fan favorites like “Lady of the Sea,” “King and Country,” and “White Hare.”

Produced by his brother Sean Lakeman, Freedom Fields was initially released in 2006 and later re-released by Relentless (EMI), earning Seth his first of six UK Top 40 albums. The album’s hypnotic blend of traditional folk and dynamic rhythms won him accolades such as Folk Singer of the Year and Album of the Year at the 2007 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.

What to Expect at the Concert

Expect “delicious harmonies and the occasional fiery fiddle,” as BBC Music put it, with Seth’s impressive songwriting taking centre stage. This special tour revisits the stories and melodies that defined Freedom Fields, alongside songs from his latest 2025 release, The Granite Way, recorded with longtime collaborators and celebrating West Country folk traditions.
