Information - Sam Plackett Trio

A recent addition to the UK jazz scene, Sam Plackett is a young and inventive jazz guitarist. His musical influences are broad, drawing inspiration from contemporary jazz guitarists such as Bill Frisell, Pat Metheny and John Schofield.

Plackett brings his London based trio to St Peter’s by the waterfront, performing alongside Oscar Ho (bass) and Manuel Filgueiras (drums). The trio perform Plackett’s original compositions alongside selections from the great American songbook. Improvisation and creative interplay are central to this ensemble’s unique voice.
