Information - Reclaim the Night

Thursday 20th February we take to the streets to march to raise awareness of the violence faced by women and girls at night on the streets of Ipswich. We take great pride in being passed this event from the team formally at Suffolk Rape Crisis, a charity and services leaving a huge gap in Ipswich.

I would like to invite my connections, your friends and families, to meet us in the Waterfront Reception and show support for women and children in our community and raise awareness of the need for more to be done to keep us safe.

Meet in the Waterfront Foyer from 4pm for banner-making, with free tea and coffee provided by Paddy & Scott’s.

Start at the University of Suffolk Waterfront building at 6pm – our March will conclude with a candle light vigil on the Cornhill to remember those women and girls who have been lost to violent crime in Ipswich.

Whatever the weather we will be there, we really hope you will be too.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
