Information - Pinewood Poetry Club

Join SoapBox CIC at Pinewood Community Hall (in the lounge) on the first Monday of the month, 10am-12pm, for a morning of poetry sharing, reading, performing, listening & writing. All ages welcome. Free entry. Free tea/coffee & biscuits. The Community hall is on the number 12 and 13 bus route, has a large free carpark, and the venue is fully accessible.

For the launch event on Monday 7th July, we’ll have a featured performance from local poet: Amy Wragg, who will be sharing some of her favourite poems from the contemporary poetry world. You are invited to bring a poem to share, or just join us for a natter and a celebration of all things wordy. It’ll be a friendly and fun group, always interspersed with poetry readings, and writing exercises and challenges. Low pressure. Have a go or share if you want, or don’t. We’d love to meet you.

Pride in Place

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
