Information - Operation MI6

Are you ready for an evening of mystery, suspense, and top-secret intelligence? We have some incredibly exciting news for all you thrill-seekers and armchair detectives here in Ipswich! For the very first time, you are invited to step behind the curtain and experience the secretive world of MI6, right here at our very own Regent Theatre.

This isn’t just a show; it’s a fully immersive journey into the heart of Britain’s foreign intelligence service. If you’ve ever wondered what really goes on behind the headlines, how high-stakes operations are planned, or how real-life agents are recruited, this is the event you’ve been waiting for.

What is Operation MI6?

Guided by former real-life MI6 intelligence officer Matthew Dunn, Operation MI6 is a gripping, live theatre experience unlike anything you’ve seen before. Matthew will take you deep inside a world that only a tiny handful of people ever get to see.

Through a live, unfolding operation, dramatic recreations, and fascinating real-world insights, you’ll discover exactly how intelligence officers think, operate, and make split-second decisions when the stakes couldn’t be higher. It’s a rare, authentic glimpse into the true nature of espionage.

An Immersive, High-Tech Experience

To bring this thrilling world to life, the production combines gripping live theatre with cutting-edge technology. You can expect:

  • Live CCTV surveillance tracking action in real-time.
  • Aerial drone footage to give you a bird’s-eye view of the operation.
  • Expert commentary from Matthew Dunn, sharing his actual lived experiences.

But here is the twist: the operation is live, the decisions are real, and the final choices are up to you. As the drama unfolds, you’ll be asked: what would you do?
