Wheelchair access: Ask before you book What to bring: Please dress for the weather. This event is held entirely outside. We carry on rain, snow or shine, it’s part of the fun. It is essential that long trousers and sturdy foot wear with thick soles are worn at our Young Wardens session. Bring plenty to drink and a snack. Parking information: Parking is available in the park for Blue Badge holders only. There is parking available on the roads surrounding the park. Facilities: Toilets Refreshments

Information - Nature Champions: Young Wardens

Are you looking for hands on practical experience, an opportunity to get outdoors, a chance to earn your Duke of Edinburgh award or a way to meet new friends? If so, Nature Champions: Young Wardens is the group for you!

Activities vary throughout the year but include; learning to use tools to safely carry out practical tasks that contribute to the management of green spaces in Ipswich; carrying out surveys of key wildlife species, providing information that helps to inform conservation activities in our town.

All Young Wardens need to be dropped off by an adult who can confirm their emergency contact details at the start of the session. Please do not send young wardens to the session alone as they will not be able to participate.

This event is aimed at 11 – 16 year olds.
