Information - Natural food with nettles and butterknife carving (PM)
Join craftswoman and carver Fay Jones in Holywells’ park Orchard to make natural food from nettles and hand carve your own butterknife.
Price includes all tools and materials on the day.
We will be working outside, so please dress suitably for the weather and wear stout footwear. If it is particularly cold we will be working in the historic Orangery, the last remaining part of the old Holywells mansion.
Nettles are an excellent source of iron and vitamin C. We will be collecting them from the park to make your very own wild pesto, then enjoy spreading it on toast with a butterknife you’ve carved yourself and can take home.
Tea and coffee will be provided during the session (please bring your own mug). The Bishops Tearoom and Cafe in the stable block will be open all day, so why not pop in for tea afterward and take advantage of 10% off purchases when showing a valid event ticket.
