Get Ready for an Unforgettable Night with Mincer, HelloKittyFunLand & Lease On Life!

Offbeat Ipswich is excited to bring you an evening packed with energy and edge at The Smokehouse on Friday 16th January 2026. Join us from 7:30pm to 11:00pm for a lineup that’s anything but ordinary!

The Bands

Mincer don’t just raise hell—they grind through it. With roots deeply planted in DIY punk ethics and fiercesome breakdowns, this band transforms noise into a weapon. Expect intensity, passion, and music that hits hard.

HelloKittyFunLand (HLFL), formed in Bury St Edmunds in late 2024, brings a fresh fusion of hardcore and grindcore. Their unique sound is influenced by the unlikely muse, Susan Boyle, creating a vibrant and unexpected mix that will keep you on your toes.

Lease On Life are a lively five-piece from Norwich known for their fast-paced rap vocals inspired by slam poetry. Backed by distorted guitars, thumping bass, and driving punk drums, their songs tackle everyday frustrations—like slow traffic and slow day jobs—but delivered with a lightning-fast energy that’s infectious.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
