Information - Maritime evening of entertainment

Our third meeting of the Autumn is a social event, celebrating maritime songs and music, on Wednesday 4th December, at the Steamboat Tavern on New Cut West. The Orwellermen, who performed so superbly for us at the Heritage Open Day, with the Shefarers and friends, and the Shotley Wailers, will be leading the evening.

They will be joined by Claudia Myatt, singing songs of female seafarers; and maybe some barge people, telling tales of old times on the docks.

If you would like to contribute a song or a story, please contact on [email protected]

Free to members (and UoS students with ID); £5 for visitors
