Information - Make an Anglo-Saxon Style Clay Pot

Did you know that Ipswich is famous for its Anglo-Saxon pottery? It’s called Ipswich Ware!

This event on 9 April 2025 will have 45-minute sessions at 10 AM, 11 AM, 1 PM, 2 PM, and 3 PM. If you love history and craft, come along to make your own miniature Anglo-Saxon-style clay pot inspired by real museum artefacts. All materials and full guidance will be provided. We will use air-drying clay, so please bring a small container to transport your creations home safely.

This session is suitable for anyone aged 6+. Younger children may need help from an adult. Under 16s must be accompanied by a parent/carer throughout.

The workshop will take place in the Ceramics and Glass Gallery, which is located on the ground floor and is accessible to all.
