Information - Love Mammals Discovery Day

Join us on Wednesday, 19 February from 10 AM to 3 PM for this exciting day celebrating the wonders of mammal wildlife across Suffolk and beyond through stalls with displays across the Mansion. We will be joined on the day by the Suffolk Naturalists’ Society, GeoSuffolk, Ipswich Wildlife Group and Anglian Microscopy Group, to name a few. Discover some of the mammal objects going back in the museum’s new galleries and learn how they have been conserved from our specialist team. What will you discover?

Your young children will also be able to learn and discover in the drop-in ‘Mini-Mammals’ zone, which offers play, arts, crafts, and activities all day. Suitable for ages 2+. Parents/carers must remain with their children throughout the event.

For useful information, such as how to find us and what facilities the Mansion has, we recommend reading our Access information: Access at the Mansion | Ipswich Museums

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
