Information - Join the Ipswich Bonsai Society

In 1989 a group of six Bonsai enthusiasts from the Ipswich area started meeting up in each others gardens to share the enjoyment of our wonderful hobby. From this small beginning the Ipswich Bonsai Society was formed and has been meeting on a regular basis ever since.

We aim to be a very friendly and welcoming club so weather you are a novice or have been working with Bonsai for many years come and join us. We exist to promote the love, understanding and cultivation of Bonsai in the Ipswich area.

We host the annual East Anglian Bonsai Show at Kesgrave War Memorial Community Centre bringing together clubs and traders from around the country. We have a stand at the Suffolk Show where we have won gold awards for our displays. The society has been represented at national shows.

At our monthly meetings regular talks and demonstrations are given by Bonsai professionals helping us to progress our trees. Workshops are held where we work on our own trees with the help of others if needed.

Your first visit is free so come and join us for tea and biscuits and a chat.

A years membership is £22 or £32 for a couple plus £1 on the night or £6 when we have a speaker.

We meet on the second Friday of every month at: Kesgrave Community Hall, Twelve Acre Approach, Kesgrave, Ipswich, IP5 1JF.

7 for 7.30 or 7pm start on speaker evenings.
