Information - It’s a Fine Life

It’s A Fine Life! tells one of show business’ most fascinating stories, the life of Lionel Bart, with songs from his hit musicals (Oliver, Maggie May, Fings Ain’t What They Used T’be) and his chart toppers (Living Doll, From Russia with Love, Little White
Bull).

Lionel Bart is one of the household names of 1960s Britain…but why? Plenty of other songwriters have come and gone with only their melodies remaining in peoples minds. Bart was different, his parties were as spoken about as his chart toppers, his failures as spoken about as his hits and his scandals as publicly entertaining as his musicals. His story is the story of anyone who has taken on the establishment and against all odds made great art. This is the rise and fall story of one of Britain’s greatest musical giants.

You Don’t Need To Be An Expert To Get Involved In Pride in Place

One of the biggest misconceptions about community projects is that they're only for people with impressive CVs, professional backgrounds or years of experience sitting on committees. The Pride in Place programme - a government investment for Whitehouse and Stoke Park/Chantry of £20m into each area over 10 years - is trying to change that.
