Standing proud on the Cornhill, the Ipswich Town Hall has been at the heart of civic life for over 150 years.
Originally opened in 1868 and designed by architect William McIntosh Brooks, the building is renowned for its striking Victorian Gothic architecture, grand municipal rooms and impressive clock tower.
Visitors can explore historic spaces, learn about the Town Hall’s role in local government and community celebrations and uncover stories of the people and events that have shaped Ipswich through centuries. Join us for a fascinating journey through one of Suffolk’s most treasures landmarks.
