This event is in collaboration with Ipswich Borough Council as part of Ipswich Thrive Business Festival.

Join us at the perfectly located Ipswich offices of Ashtons Legal LLP for an insightful day of learning about Angel Investing for start-ups and aspiring investors.

Morning Session (09:30-12:15): Access to Finance

Here we explore the nature of angel investing and how it can be the best fit for start-ups and early-stage businesses that are considering raising equity finance. Hear from experienced professionals who have a wealth of expertise and knowledge in investing, including the economic and political landscape for businesses. Stay for coffee and networking to end the morning session; the afternoon is reserved only for investors and those interested in investing.

Access to Finance is aimed at start-up or scale-up founders and local professional services who provide business support.

Afternoon Session (13:00-15:30): Venture into Investing – for investors and potential investors only

Join us from 1pm for canapes and networking, then get comfortable for an exciting panel discussion with ACG members and hear about their personal experiences and advice for potential investors, why it makes a difference, and the positive impacts you can create by engaging with early-stage investment. Find out about the generous tax benefits of S/EIS from our sponsor Wilby Jones, who recently won Employer of the Year and Growth Business of the Year at the Eastern Daily Press Business Awards 2025. Hear from an experienced and successful founder about their personal journey involving angel investment and how it has been important for them.

Venture into Investing is aimed at individuals interested in getting into angel investing now or in the future, as well as those who are early on in their investment career, wealth managers and IFAs.
