Information - Home Fires

A new heritage play.

In the shadow of a blackout, hope flickered. The war came to Ipswich, to its homes, and into the very hearts of its people.

HOME FIRES is a powerful, immersive production that transports you to wartime Suffolk. From the families huddling in shelters, listening for the sound of a doodlebug, this is the story of a community that found extraordinary strength in the fight for freedom.

Using real-life accounts and local stories, we celebrate the courage, resilience, and spirit of a town that endured darkness and came out into the light.

Home Fires has been supported by Future Arts Centres and is part of Our Freedom:Then & Now National project.

Approx Running time – 60 mins
