Information - Helix / Love For Money / Happy September! – Amplify Charity Event

A charity concert with headliners ‘Helix’, who have previously played at The Smokehouse. As well as support acts ‘Love for Money’ and ‘Happy Septemeber!’—a night for music with all profits going to charity.

Helix:
Helix are an Alternative Rock Band based in Ipswich, Suffolk. Forming at college in September 2023, the band consist of Joseph Nekrews on Rhythm Guitar and Vocals, Oscar Cashell on Bass and Backing Vocals, Ollie Haig on Lead Guitar and Bradley Knight behind the kit. The boys have performed at numerous local events in and around Ipswich at venues such as the Smokehouse, The Baths, The Hunter Club, The Apex and most recently at Cambridge Junction. In June, they released their raw and energetic debut EP ‘Truth Be Told’. Since then they have followed it up with three singles: ‘Robot Boy’, ‘Fight or Flight’, and just released indie banger ‘Fish Tanks as Galaxies’. The lads can’t wait to progress to bigger and better things.

Love for Money:
A love for money has no set genre; inspired by the beginning of modern rock, from blues and funk to hard rock and jazz fusion, we appreciate everything with a good groove. Jesse Leonard on lead guitar, Tom Calvar on rhythm guitar, George Roberts on bass, Eva the vocalist and George on drums. The band formed in college in 2025. We started as a rock band and developed a love for different genres. We first moved to funk-ro.ck and blues and eventually became infatuated with jazz fusion. Our name came from the song “For the love of Money” by The O’Jays, a perfect name for a band captivated by the 70s 80s, and 90s

Happy September!:
An Indie Rock band from Ipswich making original music in the style of bands like, The Wombats, Joy Division, The Strokes, and more. Our line up consists of: Dexter Osborne on Lead Guitar and Vocals, George Eales on Rhythm Guitar and Vocals, George Roberts on Bass And Arthur Hurley on Drums Filled with all the energy, enthusiasm and heartache you could want that is reflected in our songs, we get people jumping and dancing along with us.
