Information - Flat Pack Fauna Workshop with Joel Millerchip

Join illustrator Joel Millerchip for this free creative workshop for 10-16 year olds and create your very own plant installation as part of the library. This workshop is part of The Blank Page Project.

Workshops take place from 9.45AM to 3.30PM and include a free lunch, drinks and snacks!

Decorate a wooded flat pack house plant as part of a library exhibition! Using a laser cut wooden plate, you will decorate one of four house plant sculptures, from a pot belly fig to a miniature swiss-cheese. These wooden shapes will slit in together to create a flat pack house plant which you can then decorate using posca pens and acrylic paint.

These will be exhibited as a house plant installation in Chantry Library for the next month. At the end of the exhibition, attendees are welcome to come back to collect their plant piece and take them home.

The wellbeing of our young people is really important to us and time outdoors is a key part of that. With this in mind, where possible a short walk or time outdoors will be incorporated into the workshop days. This will be supervised by the staff running the workshops and will also be weather dependent. Please ensure your child has a coat and sensible footwear!
