Information - Early Cancer Diagnosis Conference 2026
We are delighted to be hosting our third Early Cancer Diagnosis conference at the University of Suffolk!
Following the success of our previous conferences in 2024 and 2025, we will once again host an Early Cancer Diagnosis Conference at the University of Suffolk on Tuesday 17 November 2026, 9am – 2.30pm.
The NHS long term plan for cancer aims to save thousands more lives every year by improving how cancer is diagnosed and treated. This conference has been developed to focus on how we can achieve this collectively in Suffolk.
This conference will feature speakers with lived experience of cancer, health professionals leading the way in tackling health inequalities and University of Suffolk academics. Our aim is to bring together local organisations, businesses and individuals who are interested in being at the forefront of improving early cancer diagnosis and screening uptake in Suffolk.
A full agenda will be released closer to the event, but sessions will include:
- Signs, symptoms and stages of cancer
- Lived experience of cancer
- Gut health and its relationship with cancer
- Dermatology and skin cancer
More details will be added in due course. As well as the informative talks, there will also be a chance to network and visit stalls from local organisations at the forefront of cancer support.
This conference is funded by the Cancer Community Partnership Fund through Suffolk Community Foundation and is therefore free to attend. Lunch will be provided on the day. We have limited capacity so we kindly ask that if you can no longer attend the event, you inform us as soon as possible.
